Yuima Nakazato, the brand of Yuima Nakazato, who was selected as the official guest designer for the 2016-17 Autumn/Winter Paris Haute Couture Collection, has opened a pop-up shop on the second floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building (Center Park/TOKYO Kaihoku). The shop will be open until the 22nd. The theme is "The Unknown." The shop will be selling clutch bags and tote bags made with original holographic material, inspired by the fantastical scenery Nakazato saw during a visit to Iceland. These items feature photos of ice taken in Iceland printed onto the holographic material using cutting-edge printing technology. The metal ornaments are also dyed with a gradient to represent ice. True to the theme of "The Unknown," each product features a unique and innovative design. The shop also offers custom T-shirt orders (starting at ¥18,000). Using techniques also used in the Paris Haute Couture Collection, you can create a one-of-a-kind T-shirt featuring YUIMA NAKAZATO's signature beautiful holographic parts.

Designer Yuima Nakazato was born in Tokyo in 1985. He was the youngest Japanese person to graduate from the Fashion Department of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, Belgium. He started YUIMA NAKAZATO in 2009. He began designing costumes in 2010, creating outfits for Lady Gaga's visit to Japan, as well as for promotional videos and national tours for EXILE and Sandaime J Soul Brothers. In July of this year, he held a show as the opening act of the 2016-2017 Autumn/Winter Paris Haute Couture Collection. This marks the first time in 12 years since Hanae Mori that a Japanese designer has participated as an official guest designer in the Paris Haute Couture Collection.
