Reebok will release its first collaboration model with Keith Haring, a representative American artist of the 1980s, the "Reebok x Keith Haring Collection," on February 10th.
The designs of Keith's popular works "Everyman," "Barking Dog," and "Radiant Baby" will be incorporated into the popular footwear "Classic Leather," "Classic Leather Mid," "Workout Plus," and "Freestyle" from the "Reebok Classic" line, which reproduces classic works from the past.
The first collaboration models, to be released on February 10th, are scheduled to include two models: the Classic Leather (12,600 yen) with a red and black color scheme featuring Everyman dancing on the tongue, and the Classic Leather Mid (17,850 yen) with contrasting colors and a large Barking Dog motif on the upper strap. Keith Haring, born in 1958, first made waves with his graffiti art using unused advertising boards in the New York subway in the early 1980s. He gained international acclaim and held a series of exhibitions, and also worked on animation for billboards in Times Square and stage designs, but he died at the young age of 31 after contracting HIV. Through his artistic activities, Keith was also actively involved in social projects, including HIV prevention and awareness campaigns.
