Pierre Hermé's Valentine's Day specials include bonbon chocolates and limited edition macaron boxes

Jan 31, 2013

Pierre Hermé Paris' 2013 Valentine's Day gift collection features chocolate and macaron gifts based on the theme of "Illusion." The highlight is the chocolate bonbons. Chocolate, one of Pierre Hermé's favorite ingredients, is known for its unique shine and fragrance. This season's new flavors include "Nuage," a chocolate-coated smoky salted ganache, and "Ambas," made with Madagascar chocolate. They come in classic boxes. Pierre Hermé Paris is synonymous with macarons. The Valentine's Day limited edition macaron gift selection focuses on chocolate flavors. The latest packaging for the 3-piece and 6-piece sets is designed like a cake box. The limited edition cat box (12 pieces/4,200 yen) designed by French artist Nicolas Viard was chosen as the motif because the word "chat" (cat) is hidden within the word "chocolat." The "Carre Chocolat" series is a simple chocolate that lets you enjoy the direct taste of cacao, and also includes a set (5,250 yen) that allows you to enjoy the exquisite combination with Japan's "Nikka Pure Malt Whisky." Recommended for adult Valentine's Day.
