The JR Kyushu Group's Kokura Terminal Building will begin renovations of the Amu Plaza Kokura commercial facility, focusing on the fourth floor of the West Wing, starting in late July. The aim is to create a more welcoming shopping center by replacing tenants and renovating restrooms and baby rooms. The reopening will include the fourth floor of the West Wing, as well as the first, second, and fifth floors of the West Wing. A total of 15 stores will be included. They will open sequentially from August 10th, with the fourth floor of the West Wing fully opening on September 6th. Amu Plaza Kokura is a fashion building with eight floors above ground and one basement, covering approximately 16,000 square meters of retail space and housing approximately 150 tenants. In recent years, the facility has collaborated with neighboring facilities to replace tenants and introduce new facilities. This renovation marks the second phase following a major renovation carried out in March in preparation for its 15th anniversary.
The five brands that will be relocating and renovating to the 4th floor are "Credo Alice," "Cactus Sepo," "One After Another Nice Crap," "Kutsushitaya," and "E hyphen World Gallery." Five other stores on the same floor will be renovated: "Lowrys Farm," "JEANASIS," "Page Boy," "Francfranc," and "Plaza." A new store selling hats and miscellaneous goods, "Hat Trick," will also be opening. In line with the tenant changes, the store layout will be redesigned to allow for a panoramic view of the entire floor, with the aim of creating an open space. A new baby room will also be installed next to the women's restroom on the 4th floor of the West Building. Equipped with private nursing rooms, diaper-changing beds, and changing tables, the new room aims to attract more customers.
