Mitsui Fudosan has announced five anchor stores for the West Building of Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport Tokyo-Bay (2-1-1 Hamamachi, Funabashi City, Chiba Prefecture), which is currently undergoing reconstruction. Two of these stores will be opening for the first time in Chiba Prefecture.

The first floor "Daily Zone" will feature daily service stores such as food stores, local product stores, and drugstores. The "Family Zone" on the second floor will feature "Akachan Honpo," a specialty store for maternity, baby, and children's products, and "Toys" R" Us/Babies" R" Us, a comprehensive toy and baby goods store. The official Pokémon Center for the popular Pokémon video game will also be opening its first store in Chiba Prefecture. The "Entertainment Zone," which is surrounded by amusement facilities, will see the expansion of "TOHO Cinemas," currently located in the South Building, which will relocate and become one of the largest cinema complexes in the area, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.

Since its opening in 1981, Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport Tokyo Bay has undergone more than 10 expansions and renovations. The West Building is a mall-like structure with improved accessibility between the North and South Buildings, and is three stories above ground. The West Building will have approximately 50 stores (450 stores in the entire facility), and is scheduled to open in late November.
