On the 11th, the first-ever store for the Japanese bag brand "Deux Moncx" opened at the newly reopened Mitsui Outlet Park Shiga Ryuo.
The brand was founded by Matsuzaki Bags, a long-established bag manufacturer founded in 1889. After Matsuzaki Bags went out of business in 2010, it was taken over by the American travel bag manufacturer Samsonite. The brand name, Deux Moncx, is a French-derived coinage meaning "two moons of unknown potential."
The brand continues the history of this prestigious Japanese brand, and continues to adhere to "Made in Japan" in everything from materials and design to production. Meanwhile, the brand's lustrous leather texture and feel, along with its simple yet striking design, have many adult fans, satisfying even fans of popular Italian brands like Orobianco. Furthermore, the attention to detail and functionality unique to Japanese-made products, is evident in every detail. Until now, the brand has been sold at renowned department stores. The shop will sell specially crafted items that "cannot be mass-produced" at 30 to 50% off the regular price (25,000 to 100,000 yen). Although they are categorized as "business bags," they come in a wide variety of styles and colors, making them suitable for a variety of occasions.
