On July 30th, COMME des GARÇONS HOMME presented its 2014 Spring/Summer collection in a floor show format. Designer Junya Watanabe.
The brand showcases carefully crafted staples each season. This season, shorts-style suiting was the focus. Tailored jackets in gray, navy, and black were paired with knee-length shorts or ankle-length trousers. They were paired with shirts in madras, floral, or patchwork patterns.
The jackets featured a variety of designs, from ones featuring puckering to refreshing cotton-linen denim. The white shirts featured in the middle of the show also featured puckering. While seemingly basic, the designs were intricately crafted, including a houndstooth jacket with a checked facing and a wool jacket with a similarly intricate mesh and striped facing.
The bare feet were styled with lace-up shoes.
