Pablo Picasso exhibition to commemorate 40 years since Picasso's death and the birth of Shibuya Parco

Jul 3, 2013

Commemorating the 40th anniversary of Picasso's death, the "Picasso: Love and Art Prints" exhibition will be held at the Parco Museum in Shibuya from July 19th through August 19th.

From the approximately 2,000 prints produced by Spanish painter Pablo Picasso throughout his lifetime, approximately 60 works, primarily featuring gender-themed works and portraits of women, will be on display. Masterpieces include "A Woman's Face," "A Man Unveiling a Woman," and "Jacqueline Reading."

This exhibition is being held to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Shibuya Parco store. As a special feature, two original audio guides are available. Choose from the standard audio guide by Goro Yamada, an editor and critic with a deep knowledge of Western art, or the secret audio guide by TV personality Tomochika. Each option costs 200 yen and requires downloading the app to your smartphone.
