Jun 1, 2021

This year's Isetan Mitsukoshi Ochugen gift center is based on the theme of "Connecting," and offers a wide variety of gifts that connect times, regions, and people. Approximately 2,400 items are available for order from the online store, and approximately 2,000 items from the catalog are available at the gift center. We have also prepared gifts that embody Isetan Mitsukoshi's vision of sustainability.

As infection prevention measures, Isetan Mitsukoshi's Ochugen Gift Center will take temperatures upon entry, disinfect the order counter, and install acrylic panels at each counter to ensure sufficient distance between seats. We will also be using the reception management system "Air Wait" to eliminate congestion caused by waiting in line. You can also check the store's congestion status on the day on our website. Starting with this summer's Ochugen, you can reserve a table through the Isetan Mitsukoshi app.

Sustainable Gifts

For the first time, we are offering "think" as part of our summer gift ideas. Under the slogan "good" and the theme of "giving the richness that connects people and the community," we have prepared approximately 40 mid-year gift items that connect to the future of the Earth, focusing on themes such as "gifts to raise storks," "community coexistence," "circular farming," "utilizing food resources (reducing food waste)," "environmental considerations," "fair trade," and "diversity." Approximately 35 of these items will be available exclusively through the Isetan Mitsukoshi Group.

■Gifts made with "Stork-raised rice," grown using farming methods created to restore an environment that is "friendly for storks."

Mitsukoshi Isetan Limited Edition Collaboration Gift

Isetan Mitsukoshi is collaborating to preserve Japan's world-renowned art treasures and pass them on to future generations by proposing special gifts imbued with Japanese aesthetic values and a deep appreciation for culture and art. The collaborative gift offering, featuring packaging featuring works from the museum's collection, began with a collaboration with the Tokyo National Museum in the 2016 mid-year gift season. The Kyoto, Nara, and Kyushu national museums were added in the 2019 mid-year gift season, and the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo, will be added in the 2020 mid-year gift season. This has enabled the offering to showcase a wider range of artworks, making the gift increasingly popular.
