The Franck Muller Watchland Group will be holding the exhibition "WPHH JAPON 2015 in KYOTO" at THE SODOH in Kyoto from October 19th to 22nd.
The Watchland Group is made up of nine brands, centered around FRANCK MULLER, a brand founded by a genius watchmaker. In addition to Franck Muller, other brands include BACKES & STRAUSS, the Master of Diamonds, and CVSTOS, which combines advanced technology with bold aesthetics.
This year's "WPHH JAPON 2015 in KYOTO," the third in the series, will feature a special public exhibition of a collection of gems that look back on the group's 23-year history, including this year's featured pieces. In addition, limited-edition lunch menus will be offered by four star chefs: Yosuke Suga, a beloved disciple of renowned French chef Joël Robuchon; one-star Michelin chef Shinji Harada; Yosuke Okazaki, executive chef of RESTAURANT SANT PAU Tokyo; and Jun Kuroki, a master of Japanese cuisine who has also been awarded a star in the Tokyo Michelin Guide. Other collaborations include limited-edition items with Hosoo, a long-established Nishijin textile manufacturer that shares Franck Muller's sensibility for cherishing time; Masahiro Nakagawa, a leading Japanese kimono designer; and Hiroshi Takao, a textile designer. Plans include a showcase of traditional Swiss watchmaking techniques by skilled watchmakers, and a "Franck Muller Café" that blends Japanese and Western styles. Visitors who pre-register will receive a free "event-exclusive original tote bag."
