Hotel Okura Tokyo will begin accepting reservations for takeout Christmas sweets and dinner sets from October 19th.
This year's Christmas sweets menu, centered around "tradition," features a variety of menu items that add a twist to traditional Christmas sweets that have long been popular in Europe. The lineup includes the "Christmas Pudding" (6,000 yen), made with a butter and brown sugar dough baked with dried fruits and nuts marinated in cognac, beer, and rum; the "Gâteau au Chocolat 'The Okura'" (10,000 yen), which combines two types of high-quality couverture made with Ecuadorian cacao with rich liquid cream; the "Apple and Maple Stollen" (4,200 yen), which contains apples sweetened with a liquor compote; and the "Truffle Caramelized Noel" (6 pieces/3,240 yen), which combines caramel-based ganache with Christmas-themed ingredients. A dinner set (for two people/23,760 yen) will also be available, including hors d'oeuvres, main dish, and dessert. Hors d'oeuvres include "Foie Gramousse with Apples" and 10 varieties of "Caviar Stuffed in a Pie Case," while the main dish will be "Roasted French Baby Chicken." Dessert will be "Christmas Pudding."
