The exhibition "PARIS Haute Couture - One-of-a-Kind Clothes" will be held at the Mitsubishi Ichigokan Museum in Marunouchi, Tokyo, from March 4 to May 22, 2016. Under the supervision of Olivier Saillard, director of the Palais Galliera, the Musée de la Mode de Paris, known as the hall of fame for Parisian fashion, the exhibition is a re-creation of the popular fashion exhibition held at the Paris branch in 2013. It offers an overview of the history of haute couture, luxury clothing made to order by designers at the very few brands approved by the Paris Couture Association, from the late 19th century to the present day. The exhibition will feature haute couture from Chanel, Christian Dior, Givenchy, Yves Saint-Laurent, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Balenciaga. This exhibition allows visitors to experience the world's finest craftsmanship, which has been passed down through the generations, in embroidery, featherwork, corsages, and more, through approximately 130 dresses, accessories, design drawings, photographs, and more.
