"AnyTokyo," an exhibition showcasing new Japanese design, will be held at the Koshoden Hall of Zojoji Temple in Tokyo's Minato Ward from October 24th to November 3rd.
"AnyTokyo" brings together design and ideas from a wide range of fields, including products for future lifestyles and inspiring art and music. The third edition of the exhibition, with the theme "DIVERSITY & BEAUTY," continues last year's theme, Zojoji Temple, an Important Cultural Property of Japan. The exhibition brings together a wide variety of ideas across genres, including practical and aesthetic products realized through unique perspectives on everyday life, materials utilizing new technologies, and projects that reinterpret classic works from a modern perspective.
Additionally, as a new initiative during the exhibition, the "Japan-China-Korea Design Forum," which has been held in various countries since 2010, will be held at the same venue. This time, the theme will be "Strong Design, Beautiful Design," and will include lectures by internationally active designers from Japan, China, and Korea, as well as discussions with patent office and corporate representatives from each country. Speakers include Takeshi Ishiguro, head of Takeshi Ishiguro Creative Lab, Tony Wong, design director of IDEO China, and Junggi Sung, creative director of Daylight.
