Designer Iris Van Herpen's "Iris Van Herpen Exhibition" will be held from August 21st to September 6th at a special venue on the 7th floor of Seibu Shibuya Building A.

After building her career at Alexander McQueen and other companies, Iris Van Herpen launched her own brand, Iris Van Herpen, in 2007. She has earned high praise in the fashion industry for her avant-garde collections that utilize the latest technology.

She is also known for her experimental couture using 3D printers and her collaborations with Bjork and Lady Gaga, and in 2014 she won the Grand Prix at the ANDAM Fashion Award 2014, sponsored by the French Association for the Development of Contemporary Art.

The venue for this exhibition, which will be held as an event symbolizing the reforms centered around the entrance and fashion zone of Seibu Shibuya Store, was designed by robot designer Tatsuya Matsui, winner of the iF Design Award and red dot Design Award, and brings Iris van Herpen's worldview to a different dimension. The exhibition will feature archive works from up to 2015, as well as works created using 3D printers.
