The "1st Maison & Objet Triumphant Fair" kicked off on the 21st on the 5th floor Living Room of the Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store. It's part of "JAPAN SENSES," a program by Isetan Mitsukoshi showcasing high-quality Japanese products. Maison & Objet is an interior and product design trade fair held annually in Paris in January and September. It features a wide range of lifestyle items, from furniture and tableware to interior décor. The fair is divided into three sections: "Maison," "Objet," and "Luxury, Design & Spatial Design," and attracts over 3,000 companies each year. 85,000 industry professionals from around the world attend. In recent years, with the "Cool Japan" boom, Japanese brands have been highly praised for their high quality and design. Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi, which bills itself as a culture resort department store, has chosen the name "Maison & Objet" for its first exhibition in Japan. The event will be held on the Living Stage (promotion space) on the 5th floor and in each sales area until November 3rd, with plans to expand to the Central Hall on the 1st floor in June next year.
This time, nine companies and nine brands are exhibiting in the promotion space: FEDECA (Hyogo, cutlery/knives), Hattori Gento (Kyoto, interior goods/mobiles), SUZUSAN (Arimatsu, interior goods/lampshades), NuAns (Saitama, digital life products/mobile batteries, etc.), Qurz (Tokyo, stationery/notebooks, boxes, rulers, coffee mills, etc.), Sfera (Kyoto, furniture and interior goods/personal furniture, interior goods), Yokoyama Bamboo Store (Kyoto, interior/bamboo crafts), Hana Kyoshitsu (Kyoto, pottery/tableware and vases), and Yoshikawa Dyeing (Kyoto, interior/metal-processed art frames with Kyoto yuzen patterns).
