Oct 21, 2015

Starting November 2nd, PASS THE BATON KYOTO GION will be exhibiting and selling musician Shuya Okino's personal belongings.

Shuya Okino is a DJ, music producer, and the world's only music selection critic. He is known for his deep knowledge of jazz and related music, including his brother DJ unit "Kyoto Jazz Massive" with his younger brother Yoshihiro Okino. However, he is also a collector of a very specific genre. PASS THE BATON KYOTO GION will be exhibiting and selling a variety of personal belongings, including vintage fashion items, vases, photo books, and advertising yearbooks, that he has collected over the years, under the title "Shuya Okino's Private Archives Collection."

In addition, as an opening event, a DJ event "BEFORE MIDNIGHT" will be held on November 2nd at the attached cafe and bar, Ocha to Sake Tasuki. In addition to club jazz, the venue will also play Okino's favorite non-danceable jazz, providing a sweet and elegant time for adults. All records played on the day will be given away to those who request one.
