Diptyque, the Parisian fragrance house which celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2021, will release its new summer "Summer Essentials Collection" as the third chapter of its anniversary collection from June 4th.

A Collection of Iconic Mediterranean Fragrances That Inspired the Founders

The new fragrances, the third chapter of the collection commemorating Diptyque's 60th anniversary, are created in homage to the Mediterranean.

Two of Diptyque's three founders, Yves Couéron and Desmond Knox-Leet, enjoyed spending time in the region and continued to bring back many materials and memories for their works and fragrance creations.

And this summer, 2021, a collection of iconic Mediterranean fragrances will be released, evoking the unpretentious beauty of Italy, Provence, and Greece, places that captivated the two.


This collection includes the "Eau de Toilette Ilio," "Hair Fragrance Ilio," "Fragrance Candle Citronnelle," "Summer Body Spray," and "Mediterranean Edition Vinaigrette."

Eau de Toilette & Hair Fragrance

"Ilio," with its enchanting scent of warm flowers and fruit trees, is a fragrance derived from the Greek word "ilios," meaning "sun."

This fragrance centers around opuntia, a unique fruit symbolizing the Mediterranean Basin, and combines notes of bergamot, iris, and jasmine. One quick spritz will refresh your mood and brighten up any summer scene.

Fragrance Candle

"Citronnelle" is another scent that characterizes summer. Lemongrass is known and highly prized for its subtle, refreshing scent and mosquito-repelling properties. In homage to lemongrass, we're releasing the limited-edition Citronelle Fragrance Candle. Perfect for summer evenings outdoors after dark, this candle is available in two sizes: a 1.5kg garden candle and a 190g classic candle.

Vinaigre de Toilette

Diptyque has completely revamped its traditional "Vinaigre de Toilette."

This "Vinaigre de Toilette Edition Méditerranée" is a typical aromatic fragrance inspired by recipes from the Mediterranean region, using an infusion of lavender, rosemary, and thyme. The bottle also contains a single sprig of natural lavender, giving it a truly romantic appearance.

This product can be used for a variety of purposes, such as scenting clothes, relieving fatigue from the entire body, enveloping hair in shine and fragrance, and purifying the air in the home.
