Public School, winner of the International Woolmark Prize (IWP) Men's Wear Final in 2014-2015, will open a pop-up shop in the promotion space on the second floor of Isetan Men's Building from October 28th to November 10th.
Public School is a New York-based men's brand founded by Dao Yi Cho and Maxwell Osborne in 2008. In 2013, it won the CFDA Fashion Designer Swarovski Award in the Men's Wear category. For the 2015 Autumn/Winter season, the brand released a collaborative bag with TUMI.
Designer Paul Smith, who also served as a judge for the International Woolmark Prize in which Public School won, commented on the brand, "Many of the pieces are fully fashionable and fit the body as sportswear, making them suitable for use by major sportswear brands."
This pop-up was made possible because the general manager of Isetan Men's Building also served as a judge for the award. The Public School capsule collection will be available exclusively at the store in Japan. Designers Dao Yi Cho and Maxwell Osborne will also be visiting the store from 2pm to 4pm on November 1st to provide hip-hop DJ performances and sales opportunities, which are also creative resources for the brand.
