White Mountaineering's 2013-14 Fall/Winter collection was unveiled in show form at Pitti Immagine Uomo, the world's largest menswear trade fair, held in Florence, Italy. Four years after their first show in Spring/Summer 2010, White Mountaineering made their grand debut, shouldering the expectations of a leading figure in Tokyo today. The theme was "White Mountaineering." Returning to the concept that "all fields where clothing is worn are outdoors," the collection embodies the brand's very identity. "We have long been thinking about how to bring out the beauty of outdoor wear and instill new values. We propose a new style of clothing while remaining true to the basics," designer Yosuke Aizawa said in a statement about the collection. The color palette for outdoor wear is expressed in the navy, gray, khaki, and beige colors commonly used in basic uniforms, complemented by red, orange, green, and blue. Graphic jacquard knitwear, prints, and quilted items were skillfully layered with outerwear that was meticulously crafted down to the finest details, showcasing a style for men toughly surviving in the urban field.

The elements that have supported White Mountaineering to date - design, practicality, and technology - were on full display. While Western men's trends lean towards styles that hint at down-to-earth elegance and a return to tradition, this collection showed a new and different trend.
