Oct 31, 2015

adidas Originals by White Mountaineering has been invited to a special event as part of the designer project at the 89th Pitti Immagine Uomo (hereinafter referred to as Pitti Uomo), which will be held in January 2016.

White Mountaineering was invited to Pitti Uomo in January 2013 and presented a runway show, and in January 2015, designer Yosuke Aizawa's collaborative line with Barbour was presented in the form of an installation at the same booth. This will be the first time they have presented a show in three years. The newly announced collaborative line with adidas Originals began in Spring/Summer 2016, and the 2015-2016 Autumn/Winter collection will be unveiled for the first time at Pitti Uomo.

In addition, Paris-based Juun.J will be the first Korean designer to be invited to Pitti Uomo as a special guest designer for menswear, and will present a collection in show format.

The guest designer for women's wear will be Italian designer Marco De Vincenzo, who has 15 years of experience at the Fendi Maison and currently designs accessories for Fendi.

In addition, the finalists and six designers of the International Woolmark Prize men's category will be unveiled during Pitti Uomo. Previous winners of the women's category include Karl Lagerfeld and Yves Saint Laurent, and the men's category was newly established in 2014. The winner of this year's award will receive a prize of 100,000 Australian dollars, and their work will be sold in some of the world's leading stores, including Isetan Mitsukoshi, Joyce in Hong Kong, Dieci Corso Como in Italy, and Saks Fifth Avenue in the United States.
