PITTI ITALICS, a program supporting young designers who design and produce in Italy, presented a spectacular collection by Arthur Arbsser, a finalist in the 2015 LVMH Young Designer Contest. After seven years at the Maison Armani, the talented Viennese designer won the 2013 Who is on Next competition. This time, Ettore Sottsass furniture was displayed on the runway, and Arbsser, drawing inspiration from Italian mid-century modern, presented both his men's and women's lines in a smart story. His market-conscious, sophisticated collection, featuring geometallic patterns, enamel, quilting, and knitwear, is sure to make him a designer to watch in the Japanese market. Also, CASAMADRE, a shoe brand by a male-female duo who presented as guest designers at Pitti Uomo last January, presented a clothing collection. The line, which modernly incorporates classical techniques that evoke their Florentine roots, also evokes Eastern European culture, just like their signature shoes, and it's interesting to see the brand's identity becoming clearer with each passing season.

Another brand, LOUIS LEEMAN, has also released a collection using traditional Tuscan techniques as a men's shoe brand.
