Roppongi Hills' Christmas event, "Artelligent Christmas 2015," will be held from November 4th to December 25th. Roppongi Hills is expected to attract approximately 7 million visitors during the Christmas season. This year, the theme is "A Christmas Experience with All Five Senses," and the park will be showcasing a number of memorable events. Roppongi Keyakizaka Street will host the annual "Keyakizaka Galaxy Illumination," illuminating the approximately 400-meter tree-lined street with approximately 1.2 million LED lights. Guests can enjoy two different illuminations at different times: the cool-toned "SNOW & BLUE" and the warm-toned "CANDLE & RED." Last year's popular heart-shaped illuminations have also been upgraded. Visitors can use their smartphones to change the color and movement of the illuminated hearts, creating an interactive experience.
In addition, starting November 17th, an original, crystal-like symbol tree will be displayed at 66 Plaza, the entrance to Roppongi Hills, and starting November 18th, a Christmas installation by top creators will be on display on the second floor of West Walk.
Also, starting November 17th, there will be a project called "Wish a wish - Send a Happy Christmas Message to Your Loved One," in which you can send a letter to a loved one or yourself on Christmas one year from now. From December 23rd to 25th, the "Christmas Concert," which has been held since Roppongi Hills opened, will be held.
From November 28th to 25th, a "Christmas Market" will be held at O-Yane Plaza, recreating the Stuttgart Christmas market, said to be one of the largest in the world. Over 1,000 types of Christmas goods and authentic German food such as sausages and pretzels will be on sale. In addition, from November 17th to December 25th, the Roppongi Hills observation deck, Tokyo City View, will be hosting events such as "Starry Sky Illumination," where you can enjoy the night view and planetarium at the same time, and "Galaxy Walk," where you can walk through the endless Milky Way.
