
Hotel Breston Court Karuizawa Sweets Expo, a representative summer event in Karuizawa, will be held from August 4th to 7th.
Now in its 10th year, Hotel Breston Court Karuizawa Sweets Expo is a sweets festival held annually at Karuizawa Hotel Breston Court. This year's theme is "Bon Voyage," and the event will feature a "journey through the unknown world of sweets."
The "journey full of new sweets and discoveries" (applications for the lottery ticket are now closed) will offer six sweets, including an assiette dessert created in collaboration between France-based pastry chef Keiko Nagae and Hotel Breston Court's chief pastry chef, Nobuhiro Atsushi.
There are also many other events planned that do not require tickets. There will also be a "Summer Picnic Trip in Karuizawa" where you can experience a summer picnic in Karuizawa with a four-course sweets course on the open-air terrace (2,200 yen including drinks and tax, excluding service charge *Held at 10:00, 12:00, 14:00, 16:00 and 18:00 during the event. Numbered tickets will be distributed one hour before the start next to the hotel shop), a "Journey to Meet the Life of the Land" (from 500 yen), where sweets made with peaches, Shine Muscat grapes, melons, black currants, prunes and other producers will be presented at the market, and there will also be a "Journey to Discover the Variety of Sweets" where each shop will have around 50 different kinds of colorful sweets, and there will also be a corner where you can taste and vote for the sweets made by the eight finalists of the "Karuizawa Sweets Expo Competition".
