Jun 24, 2015

On July 1, the luxury hotel Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills will launch a new dessert, "Sweet Jar" (750 yen), at its pastry shop run by pastry chef Masateru Okazaki, who has won numerous awards both at home and abroad. Following the "Eclair" series, "Sweet Jar" is the shop's new signature item, a glass jar dessert that allows you to enjoy the charms of the season with all five senses. Seasonal delicacies are layered inside a cute glass jar, resulting in a dessert that is easy to eat yet full of surprises. Six desserts will be available starting July 1. In addition to classic desserts like "Tiramisu" flavored with Hokkaido mascarpone and maraschino and "Pudding" with vanilla beans, four desserts will be available that luxuriously feature seasonal fruits. "Rose Jelly" is made by pouring boiled fresh raspberries into a cake, and adding melt-in-your-mouth rose jelly, watermelon, and raspberries. The "Champagne Peach Jelly" is made by turning champagne into jelly and topping it with fresh peaches. Other flavors available include the "Melon Coconut Jelly" made with melon and coconut mousse, and the "Exotic Jelly" which combines pandan leaf panna cotta with pineapple, mango, passion fruit, and more.
