A designer face mask that has sold 1 million units is popular in China. "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" and "Journey to the West" versions are now available

Jul 10, 2015

The designer face pack series, which has sold a total of approximately 1.01 million units in the 1 year and 5 months since its release, is collaborating with the Beijing Peking Opera Company, a key Peking Opera troupe officially recognized by the Chinese government, to release the new "Peking Opera Face Pack" (2 sheets/900 yen including tax). It will be released simultaneously in Japan and China on July 10th. This face pack series is based on the concept of "introducing Japan's representative faces to the world." Formulated with three beauty ingredients—sodium hyaluronate, hydrolyzed collagen, and vitamin C derivative—the pack features a variety of prints of animal and kabuki characters. This unique face pack allows you to "transform" into various characters while moisturizing your skin. Following the highly anticipated first release, the "Kabuki Face Pack," the series has expanded to include face packs in various genres, including the "Ueno Zoo Animal Face Pack," the "Shiki Theatre Company Cats Face Pack," and the "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Face Pack." Its popularity extends beyond Japan. Popular Chinese actors and actresses have posted photos of themselves wearing the face masks online, creating a buzz. Their popularity, particularly in China, has led to this collaboration. The new "Peking Opera Face Pack" is based on the makeup of traditional Chinese theater, Peking Opera, and was created with the cooperation and supervision of the Beijing Peking Opera Company, a key Peking Opera company recognized by the Chinese government. Peking Opera features numerous plays and characters, but this time, four were selected: Guan Yu, the hero of "Romance of the Three Kingdoms," Yang Guifei, the unparalleled beauty of "The Drunken Concubine," Sun Wukong from "Journey to the West," and Xiang Yu, the tragic warrior of "Farewell My Concubine." The face masks will be available in two sets: one featuring Guan Yu and Yang Guifei, and one featuring Sun Wukong and Xiang Yu.
