"Bread Magazine" Born from an Insatiable Pursuit of Bread [Recommended by Daikanyama T-Site]

Jul 17, 2015

Each bookstore will act as a concierge, recommending "must-read books" to FASHION HEADLINE readers. Every Friday, Daikanyama T-Site (17-5 Sarugaku-cho, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) will introduce books selected by the magazine.

■ "Bread Magazine" Pan Labo

"Bread Magazine" is produced by Pan Labo, run by Pan Labo founder and self-proclaimed bread geek Hiroaki Ikeda, with the theme "What makes delicious bread?"

This book passionately discusses the "New Wheat Collection," a project that connects wheat-producing regions across Japan and celebrates the wheat harvest with the cooperation of specialists in various fields who are experts on bread.

The first part of this project will be a talk event on July 23rd in the event space on the second floor of T-Site 1, featuring Hiroaki Ikeda and Akimasa Sugikubo, owner and chef of "365 Days" in Yoyogi-Uehara. They will also be served "Nouveau" made by Sugikubo Akimasa using wheat from Taiyo Flour Mill, a long-established flour milling company in Fukuoka, and Kumamoto producer Azuma Hiroki.
You can participate in the event with a participation ticket given to those who purchase this book or other eligible products at Daikanyama T-Site. Applications are currently being accepted in-store, by phone, or through the online store. (*Applications will close once the maximum capacity of 50 people is reached.)
