The 2015 Autumn/Winter collection, a collaboration between UNIQLO and fashion model and designer Ines de la Fressange, will be available for pre-order on the official online shop. Orders will be accepted from July 24th to August 9th, with deliveries beginning August 22nd. Born into an aristocratic family in 1957, Ines de la Fressange served as a star model for CHANEL from 1983 to 1990 and also served as a muse for Karl Lagerfeld. In 1989, she was chosen as the model for "Marianne," the iconic French woman. She subsequently worked in a wide range of fields, including as a fashion designer, journalist, writer, and consultant, before relaunching her own brand, INES DE LA FRESSANGE PARIS, in 2013. The line was designed by UNIQLO Design Director Naoki Takizawa, based on suggestions from Ines de la Fressange, who identified with UNIQLO's "LifeWear" concept. The latest 2015 Autumn/Winter collection is based on the theme of "style that brings out the sophisticated beauty of women, as if it were a scene from a film by Truffaut or Godard, who have had a profound impact on fashion culture." Inspired by French nature, the collection features striking deep colors such as forest green and vin chaud. The lineup includes a lightweight, cardigan-like reversible jacket, outerwear that pursues women's comfort, knitwear that exudes nostalgia yet creates a fresh impression, and a wool jacket that looks like Harris Tweed but is surprisingly soft. A total of 70 items will be available throughout the season. The collection will be available to the general public at UNIQLO stores nationwide on September 4th.
