sacai will begin offering its pre-collection starting with Spring 2016. Accordingly, the brand has announced the temporary hiatus of sacai luck, which had previously been a part of the pre-collection. Regarding the reason for suspending sacai luck and transitioning to the pre-collection, the brand stated, "Until now, sacai luck's delivery was faster than sacai's, so there was a period when only sacai luck was available in stores. Our main goal in separating the main collection from the pre-collection is to increase sacai's presence. We feel that having the sacai brand consistently available in stores, both in the main season and pre-season, is important now and will continue to be important in international markets, including Japan." Like sacai, the pre-collection is based on the concept of "design built on everyday life." This season, under the theme of "Hybrid Mush Up," the brand combines the individual styles, materials, and patterns of various classic elements to create a new harmony. Taking inspiration from the legendary New York disco club "Paradise Garage," the collection features a lineup of items and colors that defy genre boundaries, blending disco, rock, hip-hop, techno, and other genres to create a hybrid of various tastes, eras, and nationalities. This season's key pieces include voluminous outerwear that combines elements, such as a mod coat paired with a denim trench coat, a tailored jacket and coat, and a rider jacket and mod coat. Materials range from mesh with woven check patterns to bowler embroidery. Also released are two styles of boots and sandals created in collaboration with Hender Scheme, a company that develops leather shoes and accessories. A pullover embroidered with the Paradise Garage disco logo will also be released.
