Sacai's Fall/Winter 2015-16 collection is powerful. Oversized garments are deconstructed and resized to create new proportions, resulting in realistic clothing. Darts and tucks are used to create flared and fitted M43 jackets and shirts, creating a feminine form. Men's wide-leg pants are untucked to create a culottes-like look. Different materials are inserted into deconstructed sections to connect the pieces. Quilted Melton coats, for example, feature quilted stitching on the Melton. Thick, zero-count thread is used to create a bold statement. Leather and fur are also eye-catching, as befits the fall/winter season. A knit and leather blouson features a thin deerskin bonded over a cable knit, transferring the pattern onto the leather. A coat featuring Baja stripes in fur and grosgrain, featured in the second half of the collection, is a stunning look. Tribal elements are also incorporated. Tribal embroidery such as mirror work and the protruding peplums and skirts reminiscent of ethnic clothing were lined with hard tulle, giving them a couture feel.

With its luxurious use of materials, powerful silhouettes and confident styling, it was impossible not to feel the momentum of Sacai, a brand that is at the forefront of Japan's "now" trends.
