On January 24th, sacai held a presentation for its 2015-16 Autumn/Winter men's collection at the Oratoire du Louvre (Protestant chapel) in Paris. Many authentic pieces were featured, showcasing the brand's signature layered style. The brand's hybrid technique, featuring pieces that appear to be two layers but are actually a single blouson or coat, is also alive and well. This season, masculine blankets and ponchos made from thick herringbone wool were eye-catching, while pants and blousons featuring clever boa fabric were also striking. Chin straps were seen on many items. While masculine pieces dominated the collection, the introduction of animal print and checked tweed materials added a feminine touch. The deliberate mix of different elements creates a sense of playfulness, cleverly showcasing designer Abe Chitose's sense of balance. The warm look is coordinated with silver and gold sandals in an exquisite way.
