Versace HOME flagship store, Asia's first, arrives in Ginza. Limited edition and pre-sale items available.

Jul 13, 2015

Versace's home collection, "VERSACE HOME," opened its first flagship store in Asia and its fourth globally in Ginza, Tokyo, on July 11th. The address is 5-6-13 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.

The 194-square-meter, two-floor store, decorated in white, exudes a stately atmosphere with an abundance of luxurious materials, such as marble floors and crystal fixtures, and the wallpaper and window glass feature the brand's iconic Medusa motif. The first floor is designed as a living and dining room, while the second floor is a bedroom and study, allowing customers to view the complete collection while feeling as if they were invited into a mansion. The "Via Gesu" collection, which pays homage to Versace's Palazzo Versace in Milan, offers a complete range of furniture for the living room, dining room, and bedroom, as well as textiles such as cushions, bathrobes, towels, and bed linens. The collection's core piece, the sofa, is covered in a velvety nubuck leather cover and features the "Versace" V-shape on the front armrests and quilted backrest. Displayed in the shop windows on both sides of the entrance are chairs from Donatella Versace's new line, "LA COUPE DES DIEUX," which was unveiled at Milan Salone 2015. Inspired by the graphic lines of the brand's iconic Greek key, the line includes not only furniture but also limited-edition tableware and other rare items previously unavailable in Japan. In the future, the company plans to expand the collection to include living rooms, dining rooms, and bedrooms.

The new porcelain tea sets "the Baroque Punk" and "La Medusa," which were also unveiled at the Milan Salone, are also available in limited quantities. "the Baroque Punk," a cylindrical set with a knuckle-inspired handle, comes in a single colorway featuring a baroque pattern and black, while "La Medusa," with its round form inspired by the Japanese tea ceremony, comes in two colors: white and black. Each set is limited to 49 pieces, and pre-orders will begin in Japan on July 13th, ahead of the rest of the world. Business hours are 11:00 to 20:00 on weekdays and Saturdays, and 11:00 to 19:00 on Sundays and holidays.
