
FACTOTUM, a brand founded by designer Koji Udo in 2004, has announced that it will be launching its basic items under the new brand name "VALLIS by FACTUM" as it prepares to hold exhibitions both domestically and internationally as an official collection brand. The brand will begin exhibiting on the second floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building on July 29th, and at its Daikanyama store on the 31st.
VALLIS by FACTUM was launched following FACTOTUM's participation in an exhibition in Paris. While FACTOTUM will hold exhibitions both domestically and internationally as an official collection brand, the collections of "VALLIS by FACTOTUM" will be divided into domestic exhibitions and domestic and international releases.
The brand name "VALLIS" means "valley" in Latin, and was chosen to reflect FACTOTUM's desire to cherish real everyday life and local values, as well as the location where FACTOTUM was founded, Uguisudani.
Furthermore, as a brand with universal values for adult men, Valis by Factotum will make use of the Factotum style, but will not have a set theme for its clothing, and will develop a wardrobe that can be worn for a long time, is easy to mix and match, and is easy to use every day.
