Jul 28, 2015

To celebrate the brand's 20th anniversary, Candy Stripper will open a pop-up shop at Center Park/TOKYO Kaihoku on the second floor of Isetan Shinjuku Main Building from August 26th to September 8th. It has been announced that collaboration items with actress Fumi Nikaido will be available exclusively at Mitsukoshi Isetan. Collaboration items will also be available at a special venue on the fifth floor of JR Kyoto Isetan for four days only, from September 19th to 22nd. Candy Stripper was founded in 1995 under the concept of "NO RULE, NO GENRE, NO AGE," and is known for its unique designs that evoke women of all ages who enjoy fashion with free-spirited ideas. This year marks the brand's 20th anniversary, and collaborations with various brands and artists are planned. This marks Fumi Nikaido's first collaboration with a fashion brand. Items inspired by Nikaido's hometown of Okinawa and the rebellious spirit of 1970s youth will be available. Items will be available in four sizes, from S to XL, so that they can be enjoyed by both men and women.

The lineup includes the reversible "SOUVENIR JACKET" (48,000 yen), embroidered with Japanese motifs such as dragons, tigers, peonies, and shunga prints, the "BONDAGE JUMPSUIT" (28,000 yen), a jumpsuit with bondage pants that incorporates a punk spirit, and the "PRINT T-SHIRTS" (8,900 yen), a monochrome T-shirt printed with a photo of a woman lying down with an air of ennui.

Other items for women include the two-tone dress "GOLDFISH ONE-PIECE" (25,800 yen), which features goldfish embroidery at the collar and an elegant texture made from a blend of cotton and cupra, and a circular-line denim skirt (18,000 yen) with a voluminous silhouette that sways softly with every step.

In addition to these collaboration items, the pop-up shop will also be selling advance sales of items commemorating the brand's 20th anniversary and some of the new items from the fall 2015 collection.
