The MODE IN FRANCE 2016 Spring/Summer Collection, an exhibition and trade fair for French women's ready-to-wear, leather, and accessories, organized by the French Women's Ready-to-Wear Federation, will be held for three days from July 22nd to 24th at the Westin Tokyo in Ebisu, Tokyo.

This year marks the 39th anniversary of the exhibition, and 47 companies and 56 brands will participate, including first-time OEM companies. Exhibiting countries include 44 companies and 53 brands from France, and one company and one brand each from the UK, Spain, and Belgium. First-time exhibitors account for 30% of the total, with 13 companies and 17 brands, and the increase in brands offering bags and fashion accessories is particularly notable.

The theme for the 2016 Spring/Summer season is "print," with a lineup of colorful apparel featuring graphic art, flowers, and ethnic prints. Established brands such as Catherine André and Chemins Blancs, as well as young names like O de Mai and Tammy and Benjamin, will all be showcasing their latest creations. Participating for the first time are six French OEM companies and eight brands known as "Maisons du Savoir-Faire et de la Creation" ("Maisons of Know-How and Creation"), which leverage their long-standing traditional techniques and high level of expertise to produce for luxury fashion houses. Offering a wide range of items, from corsets and evening dresses to suits, jeans, knitwear, functional knitwear, high-end sportswear, and even dogwear, they will become ambassadors for "made in France." Additionally, the "Platform des Fasonniers" website, which allows users to search for companies online, will be launched to support business matching.
