Fashion designer Yoshikazu Yamagata's first painting exhibition will be held at Omotesando ROCKET

Yoshikazu Yamagata, designer of writtenafterwards and written by, will hold his first art exhibition, "Fashion Illustrations by Yoshikazu Yamagata," from December 16th to 25th at Omotesando ROCKET.

Yoshikazu Yamagata graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2005 and worked as a design assistant for John Galliano before returning to Japan. He founded writtenafterwards in 2007 and launched his basic line, written by, in 2014. Last year, he became the first Japanese designer to be nominated for the fashion contest, the LVMH Prize.

The art exhibition will display and sell design drawings, rough sketches, illustrations, and original drawings used in fabric designs by Yoshikazu Yamagata from his student days to the present. Visitors will also be able to see the original visuals used when presenting his collections.
