"Plastic" exhibition by Fumio Tachibana, who creates works with the theme of "letters," will be held

Nov 14, 2016

Artist and graphic designer Fumio Tachibana's exhibition "Plastic" will be held at The Mass in Omotesando, Tokyo, from November 25th to December 18th. Fumio Tachibana is an artist who has exhibited works both in Japan and abroad using letters, paper, and books as materials and themes. The "letters" created by Fumio Tachibana's hand sometimes appear flat, sometimes three-dimensional, and are disassembled, reassembled, and then disassembled again. Tachibana's works, which question the very origins of letters, provoke various imaginations through their texture and existence, giving viewers new values. This will be the artist's first solo exhibition in two years, and will feature new bronze sculptures created specifically for this occasion, as well as an installation.
