The third installment of the ISSEY MIYAKE EYES eyewear line, jointly developed by ISSEY MIYAKE and Kaneko Optical, an eyewear manufacturer based in Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture, has been released: the "Bone Series III."
The "Bone Series" debuted last fall, followed by the "Bone Series II" this spring. The series adheres to the "single piece of fabric" concept, a consistent theme since the brand's founding, and focuses on the beauty of a single line that extends from one temple end to the other.
The third model, which went on sale on November 24th, is the first in the collection to feature a full-metal titanium frame, further emphasizing the "single line." While simple, the two-tone gradation paint creates a three-dimensional shadow, further highlighting the texture of the metal. The titanium is also baked and plated with precious metals, making it hypoallergenic. The lineup includes "WELLINGTON III" (glasses 40,000 yen, sunglasses 42,000 yen), "PANT III" (glasses 40,000 yen, sunglasses 42,000 yen), and "HEXAGON III" (glasses 42,000 yen, sunglasses 44,000 yen). All prices are reference prices.
