A "Kutani Seal" workshop will be held on the first floor of Isetan Salone in Roppongi, Tokyo, from December 28th to January 10th, 2017.
Kutani Seal is a Kutani ware transfer brand born from the desire to "make Kutani ware, the luxury tableware representing the Kaga Domain's Hyakumangoku domain, more accessible to everyone." The brand sells tableware featuring cute, auspicious transfer stickers printed with Kutani's traditional Japanese paints and then baked onto the surface.
At this workshop, you can try your hand at Kutani Seal. You can create your own original Kutani ware by applying your favorite Kutani stickers to your tableware. New stickers for this season include the "Seven Lucky Gods" stickers and "Akko Garden" stickers, inspired by the flowers in illustrator Akko's garden. There will be four sessions per day, with a maximum capacity of eight people per session. Reservations are required, and tableware will be available from February 17th, 2017. During the period, the store will also be selling rakes, sake vessels, small bowls and other items perfect for New Year's.
