A limited-time "Surplus Store" will be open from December 19th to 24th at 8/ aiiima 1 & 2 on the 8th floor of Shibuya Hikarie, where various creators from the fields of fashion, product, design and art will come together to sell prototypes and B-grade goods.

A total of nine brands, labels, designers and artists will be participating in the Surplus Store. This time, they will be selling rare items that are not normally available for sale, such as prototypes and products from past seasons and defective B-grade goods.

The members include Jens, directed by Muto Toru, which develops light, contemporary dresses and jewelry; MUTE, created by Ito Kenji and Umino Takahiro, which handles everything from product, space, and graphic direction to design; BELPER, created by designer Ozaki Yuichi, which offers items that allow you to discover a new side of yourself when you put them on; bunt, which debuted in the spring/summer 2016 season and offers thoughtful products made by artisans and creators that feel like they are made by hand; CONICAL, designed by Kato Hiromi, which designs clothes for women with a strong sense of identity; DOOKS, a publishing label that produces valuable books, even in small quantities; guse ars, an art project by Murahashi Takahiro and Iwase Takami, which creates artworks, products, and designs using pottery fragments washed up on the sea and rivers; textile designer and costume designer Otomo Kuniko; and glass artist Goto Yohei.
