Scandinavian artist Agneta Flock depicts fantastic myths through papercutting. "Agneta Flock Exhibition" held in Shibuya

Dec 26, 2016

The "Agneta Flock Exhibition" by Swedish paper-cutting artist Agneta Flock will be held from January 21st to 31st, 2017, in the main lobby on the first floor of Bunkamura in Shibuya, Tokyo.

Agneta Flock is a paper-cutting artist who values handcrafted work amid the rich natural surroundings of Sweden. Inspired by the fantastical myths and folk tales of Scandinavia and the life she spent as a child in Ethiopia and Thailand, she expresses stories that have been passed down around the world through paper cutouts. The animals and plants she creates from blank white paper using just a pair of small scissors become more unique and lively with the addition of color.
