Healthy Japanese sweets shop "Wanokashi Jun" opens in Yoyogi Uehara, using pesticide-free and organic ingredients

Apr 6, 2016

Wa no Kashi Jun, a Japanese confectionery shop dedicated to promoting healthy circulation, will open in Yoyogi-Uehara, Tokyo, on April 14th. Currently, there are 20.3 million people with diabetes in Japan, including those at risk, and many are concerned about reducing their carbohydrate intake. The shop uses only coconut sugar and agave syrup, which have a low GI, considered a benchmark for low blood sugar levels. The shop offers a variety of Japanese sweets made primarily with ingredients that are gentle on the body and don't raise blood sugar levels. Enjoy sweets made with ingredients such as adzuki beans, white adzuki beans, and black soybeans grown without pesticides or chemical fertilizers for over 40 years in the Tokachi Plain, Hokkaido, and pesticide-free brown rice grown in Aozu, located southwest of the Niigata Plain. In addition to food-related topics, the shop also plans to hold workshops and classes on a variety of topics, including Japanese culture and lifestyle.
