Parisian sweets brand HUGO & VICTOR will open its first concept store in Japan on the first floor of Omotesando Hills on April 22nd.
Hugo & Victor is a sweets brand launched in 2010 by Hugues Pouget, a renowned genius pastry chef. He places the utmost importance on ingredients, creating innovative sweets using fresh ingredients and seasonal fruits he discovers around the world. After opening its first store in Paris's 7th arrondissement's Rive Gauche district in 2010, the brand opened its second store in December of the same year. In October 2015, the brand opened its first overseas store at Isetan Shinjuku in Japan, and has since expanded to select locations in South Korea and Dubai.
The newly opened Omotesando Hills store will offer a menu focused on organic ingredients, including EU organic-certified chocolate bars "BIO Tablet" (1,700 yen), which are sold exclusively in Japan, and macarons made without artificial colorings. The store will also sell "Gâteau Cerise Sakura," a cake exclusive to Omotesando Hills in spring. The store will also have a cafe space where they will serve wine and tea that go perfectly with the sweets. In commemoration of the opening, they are also offering a service in which they will give an original eco bag to anyone who purchases sweets.
