From May 1 to June 27, 2021, The Westin Tokyo will be offering "Chocolate Afternoon Tea," a meticulously crafted afternoon tea featuring high-quality chocolate, in the 1st floor lobby lounge, "The Lounge," only on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. 
A classic tea stand will be stocked with a variety of sweet and refreshing treats, combining high-quality chocolate from France and Belgium with berries and citrus fruits.
 
In a luxurious space overlooking a garden brimming with fresh greenery, this afternoon tea allows you to savor the mellow aroma of chocolate, its melt-in-your-mouth texture, and the deep flavors that accompany it with fruit.

Chocolate Afternoon Tea
In the elegant lobby lounge "The Lounge," featuring an open atrium and stately marble pillars, Executive Pastry Chef Suzuki Kazuo will serve an afternoon tea featuring sweets perfect for early summer, combining chocolate with fruits such as berries and citrus fruits to bring out the full appeal of chocolate.
 
For the savory dish, "Sour Cream and Tuna Vol-au-Vent" will be making its debut. These carefully crafted scones, made without eggs but using only yogurt and buttermilk, can be enjoyed with clotted cream specially selected by the executive chef. The drink menu, with 15 options to choose from, also offers special drinks to pair with the chocolate sweets, such as fruity mango tea soda and gently fragrant vanilla au lait.

Born in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1967. Appointed Executive Pastry Chef at the Westin Tokyo in 2000. He is in charge of all pastry items at restaurants, lounges, banquets, and more. With a wide repertoire ranging from traditional European pastries to original, creative sweets, he is constantly developing new products. He is in charge of the dessert buffet at the hotel's "The Terrace," attracting many sweets fans. Suzuki's sweets, which he continues to challenge with the sole desire to delight his guests, have many repeat customers.
