This fall/winter, London brand Duffer of St. George's women's line, Femina, is strengthening its tweed offerings, incorporating the British vintage clothing that is so central to Duffer's DNA. Femina features jackets and bottoms crafted from lightweight, custom-made tweed from the British company Labatt Mill, with attention to detail, including double stitching, while incorporating feminine elements. The brand aims to expand its recognition by capitalizing on the trend for British tweed, which is also trending this fall/winter. The brand was launched in 2007 by Joy's Corporation, which also operates Paul Smith and other brands in Japan, as the men's line of the Duffer shop, which had been garnering attention for its selections that mixed London vintage clothing with streetwear. Two years ago, the brand hired a dedicated designer for the women's line, and the collection is currently available in nine of Duffer's 16 stores nationwide.
In addition, from October 11th to the 27th, a tweed fair will be held at stores that carry women's clothing, including Sendai S-Pal 2, Kanazawa Forus store, Shin-Marunouchi Building store, Queens East store, LaLaport Yokohama store, Parco Nagoya store, Parco Hiroshima store, Mint Kobe store, and Amu Plaza Hakata store, where customers who purchase jackets that are eligible for the campaign will receive a corsage made of the same tweed as the product.
