The JUNYA WATANABE COMME des GARÇONS 2013-2014 Autumn/Winter collection was unveiled at Paris Fashion Week. It featured biker jackets, checked tweed, and denim—signature elements of the brand. Hard zippers are a prominent accent throughout the collection. Both jackets and dresses featured silhouettes with cinched waists and puffed backs, as well as three-dimensional hiplines. The jacket, reconstructed from a biker jacket and tweed, featured intricately interwoven patterns. The skirt also featured a connected bias-cut pattern, and the ruffles were lined with corduroy, adding a sense of firmness and accentuating the feminine shape. The rounded zipper pockets also created a corset-like silhouette. In contrast, the denim pants were a thick boyfriend style. They featured a patchwork of square-shaped checked and printed fabrics, and were paired with colorful patent leather high-heeled pumps.
In addition, the black biker jacket and the leather dress in the last look are made with leather from LOEWE. Three bags under the double name, including a customised version of LOEWE's signature Amazona bag made with checked tweed fabric, are scheduled to be released in September.
