The second "TWEED RUN Tokyo 2013" will be held on October 14th, starting at 9:00 AM, as a related event to the "Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week TOKYO 2014 S/S." This event involves participants wearing tweed and going on a bicycle tour. The tour starts at the Ginkgo Avenue in Gaien and heads toward Ginza Mitsukoshi. Following last year, United Arrows' Hirofumi Kurino will serve as executive committee chairman, promoting safe cycling and the joy of cycling through the city. Ted Young-Ing and Jacqui Shannon, founders and organizers of the London-based Tweed Run, are scheduled to visit Japan on the day. An after-party will also be held on October 17th at Marunouchi House (7th floor, Shin-Maru Building, 1-5-1 Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo). Entries are being accepted on the Tweed Run official website until the 13th of this month. Participants will receive a tweed-patterned poncho made with Komatsu Seiren's digitally printed fabric "MONALISA®," designed by UA's Kamoshida Yasuto. The participation fee is 5,000 yen.

Tweed Run is a fashion and cycling event that originated in London in 2009. It is now held in various countries around the world, including New York, Florence, and Victoria, Canada. Takeo Kikuchi, the brand that was revived by Kikuchi Takeo, released a collection themed around the event for the 2012-13 AW season.
