London select shop Browns Focus reopened in July and held a relaunch party on September 14th, during the height of London Fashion Week.
The store is a sister store of the long-established Browns, founded in 1970. Both stores are located on South Molton Street, known as London's luxury shopping district. Despite being a long-established select shop, Browns has continued to be a leader in London's fashion scene, constantly bringing new trends to the rapidly changing London market through collaborations with young creators both in Japan and abroad.
The newly renovated Focus is spread over two floors. The interior design was handled by Studio Toogood, which has worked on shops such as London's long-established department store Liberty, Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood, and KENZO. The ground floor is black and the basement is white, designed to highlight the colors and designs of the products.
Originally, the store had an image of pushing girly style to the forefront, but now it also carries casual yet stylish brands such as Kenzo, Acne Studios, and J.W. Anderson. T-shirts with accents, vivid colored dresses, leather jackets, and graphic hoodies are lined up, and printed dresses are displayed in the storefront.
The party was livened up by DJ Seb Chew, and guest celebrities such as singers Eliza Doolittle, Pixie Lott, and Kate Nash. Around 300 attendees were treated to a range of colourful drinks, and among them were designers from popular London brands such as Ashish, Ostwald Helgason, Filles a Papa and Cats Brothers.
