Ryohin Keikaku Co., Ltd., the operator of MUJI, is pleased to announce that it will open MUJI Roadside Station Namie on March 20, 2021, as part of a partnership agreement concluded with Namie Town, Futaba District, Fukushima Prefecture in November 2020 with the aim of revitalizing the region, centered on Roadside Station Namie. MUJI Roadside Station Namie
Michi-no-Eki Namie pre-opened on August 1, 2020, as a symbol of the reconstruction of Namie town, which was heavily affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake and the accident at the Tokyo Electric Power Company's Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant. MUJI Roadside Station Namie is a licensed store whose operation has been entrusted to Machizukuri Namie General Incorporated Association (Namie town, Futaba district, Fukushima prefecture/Representative Director: Sato Yoshiki), which carries out resident-led town development through public-private partnerships, with the aim of revitalizing and rebuilding Namie town, making it a more prosperous and attractive town. As a hub for life in Namie Town, we aim to "create connections between people through commerce," and while further strengthening our ties with Namie Town, we also actively participate in local activities and hope to be a catalyst for revitalizing the city center.

We aim to be useful to the lives of local residents by stocking a focus on "basic items for daily life" that support daily life, such as popular instant curry, cleaning supplies, and underwear made from natural materials. In the future, we will provide information about store events, products, and services through the free app "MUJI passport."
