Interior design brand IDEE will be holding an exhibition of Kazumi Takigawa's works at the IDEE Shop Umeda store from September 3rd to September 27th, 2021.
Paper bags are well-designed for carrying things, but they are easily discarded. Kazumi Takigawa's bags were created to recreate such bags using materials that can be used for a long time. After base-dyeing the canvas, it is dyed with tea and coffee to bring out the color of the paper bag. After dyeing, it is then waxed to enhance durability, the paper-like feel, and the texture with use. The wrinkles on the hard and durable bags turn into white lines, creating a beautiful look, and the more you use them, the softer and more comfortable they become, giving them an even more appealing appearance.
