Flying Tiger publishes lifestyle book. Publication commemorative event held at Tsutaya Electrics

Nov 6, 2015

Flying Tiger Copenhagen, a lifestyle goods store, will hold a launch event for its book "Flying Tiger Copenhagen: A Lifestyle from Scandinavia" (1,111 yen) on November 29th at Tsutaya Electrics in Futako Tamagawa. Released on September 10th, "Flying Tiger Copenhagen: A Lifestyle from Scandinavia" introduces the brand's philosophy and behind-the-scenes world through interviews with founder Lennart Leibositz and the people behind the brand. It also showcases the real lifestyles of people living in Copenhagen, Denmark, where the brand was born, who incorporate items from the store. Learn about enjoying the contrast between traditional and casual styles, and tips for creating freely without being pre-determined. Other content includes interior design tips from the store's Japanese staff, as well as favorite items from interior stylists and designers active in Japan.

This launch event will feature a workshop led by Yuka Morii, a three-dimensional sculptor from Yuka Design who has been a big fan of Flying Tiger Copenhagen since before it arrived in Japan and whose favorite products are featured in the book. On the day, under Morii's guidance, participants will design a traditional Danish "Advent Calendar," in which they count down the days until Christmas while thinking of their loved ones, using paper napkins with various designs from the store. The workshop will be held twice, from 10am and 1pm. Each session is limited to 30 people. Participants will receive a limited edition bag as a gift.
